Step 1: What is OTP?

  • OTP (One-Time Password) is a security feature required by Amazon and occasionally Walmart for certain deliveries.

  • The OTP is generated on the morning of the shipment and must be provided at the time of delivery.

  • If the warehouse does not have the correct OTP, the package cannot be received.

  • Only 1-2% of packages require an OTP, but it is essential for completing deliveries when applicable.

Step 2: Identifying OTP Tracking Status

The tracking system will display different icons to indicate the OTP status:

  • ✅ "You cannot add an OTP code to this tracking number" – The package does not require an OTP.

  • ➕ "You can click to add an OTP code" – The tracking number requires an OTP, and you can submit it.

  • ✏️ "This tracking number already has an OTP code and can be edited" – An OTP has been added but can be modified if needed.

Step 3: How to Submit an OTP

  1. Navigate to the Tracking Numbers section in the portal.

  2. Locate the tracking number that requires an OTP.

  3. Enter the OTP in the designated field.

  4. Click Submit to finalize the process.

Step 4: Updating or Changing an OTP

If the OTP has changed:

  1. Select the edit OTP option.

  2. Enter the new OTP.

  3. Click Save to update the information.

Step 5: Ensuring a Successful Delivery

  • The warehouse will use the OTP during delivery to Amazon or Walmart to confirm the package.

  • If the correct OTP is not available at the time of delivery, the package cannot be accepted.

  • Regularly check for any missing OTPs to prevent delays.
